Helene Relief: Aid for Artists
Hurricane Helene devastated creative communities across the Southeast, and artists need your help! This network aims to connect affected artists and arts organizations with individuals who want to support them.
Helene Relief: Aid for Artists is a network compiled and maintained by individual community members Morgan Hill, Cami Leisk, and Sarah Parkinson to support their artist friends and neighbors. Treats Studios is kindly volunteering its online platform to host this information, but the network is not a project of Treats Studios. Treats Studios does not receive any portion of purchases and donations to artists and organizations initiated through this page.
This is Treats Studios, a three story building located in the downtown Spruce Pine, NC. It is home to 18 different artists working in mediums ranging from woodworking to weaving to photography and so much more!
Treats Studios provides artists with an affordable place to make, meet, sell, and find joy in downtown Spruce Pine.

Location and History
We are located in downtown Spruce Pine, NC, nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains. We’re only 15 minutes away from Penland School of Craft and only an hour from Asheville. This artist-rich community is a welcoming and supportive environment for young and established artists alike.
Equity + Inclusion Statement
At Treats Studio we believe the fields of craft, art, and design tell the stories of our people. When groups of artists go unrepresented, an inaccurate and incomplete story is being told, sold, and preserved—and everyone loses. By providing affordable studio space that is open to all applicants, with priority given to tenants from historically underrepresented groups, we hope to aid in breaking down barriers that obstruct these artists from adding their voice to our nation’s story. Located in rural Appalachia, we acknowledge that we may not have the opportunities to achieve our goals of diversification. More than half of the Treats founding members are also founding members of Crafting the Future, and we will use this established relationship with Crafting the Future to maintain and optimize our commitment to increasing representation in the field through volunteering and fundraising efforts.
